Hi, I am planning to Visit Lapland in Finland with my Wife, I would probably be traveling During October.?
Could someone recommend which is the best place in Lapland. I will be spending about 10 days and my wife loves Snow. I am looking for a Descent accommodation.

October is a bit early for guaranteed snow, only just starting then! Leave it at least another month if possible. If you delay to Nov – Feb period and are staying a few days you are almost guaranteed to see the Northern Lights which are an experience not to miss and worth delaying your visit. Seen them 3 times here/Tromso (Norway)/Iceland – INCREDIBLE!
We have stayed here (see link below) and you can’t get a more romantic and wilderness exploration place. To get there you drive from the local airport on snow packed roads that do not clear all winter!Experience reindeer sledges, Dog sledging (you are driving/in control…..), ski-ing, Snow-mobiling, stay one night in the ice igloo, trips out into untouched wilderness to see the wildlife etc.

The accommodation is your own (genuine/real) log cabin (with tree trunk bed base!) with triple glazing, out in the forest – you have to walk through the snow to get there! We were about 50yds from the main building and the cabins are widely spread out. There is a central building which is reception/restaurant etc.
We have also been to Norway / Sweden destinations (including the “original” ice hotel) but this is really the best all purpose place – very highly recommended!
